Scholarship process and follow-up
As an ELD member, you may be eligible for a scholarship to a number of community leadership development programs. All the info you need to apply is below.
Complete the application for the community leadership development program you would like to attend (Center for Creative Leadership Community Leadership Program, Leadership Pikes Peak, Leadership Pueblo or Colorado Springs Leadership Institute).
Once you are accepted into the community leadership development program of your choice, complete El Pomar’s ELD scholarship application and return it to the Senior Vice President/ELD Program Officer. Applications are reviewed by the ELD Scholarship Review Committee.
If you have been accepted into the community leadership development program of your choice and have also confirmed you've been selected for an ELD scholarship, El Pomar Foundation will provide full tuition directly to the community leadership development program office. You will be required to begin your online Civic Engagement Profile prior to attending the program.
After the program
Upon completion of the community leadership development program, there are a few more steps to take to wrap up your scholarship requirements.Â
After completing the community leadership development program, you are required to send a final report to Senior Vice President/ELD Program Officer and ELD Program Coordinator.
You are expected to attend ELD Advisory Council meetings to support the Advisory Council Co-Chairs in recruiting and mentoring prospective ELD members and community leadership development program scholarship recipients.
You are encouraged and responsible for finding opportunities for involvement in the broader Colorado Springs and Pueblo community. ELD will support your civic involvement by introducing you to opportunities and promoting your Online Civic Engagement Profile.
Once you complete any of the community leadership development programs supported by El Pomar, your Online Civic Engagement Profile will be activated by the ELD program office. You are encouraged to keep your profile updated, as you would your resume, to ensure viewers can see your most current information.
