Programs to engage our community
When grant dollars can’t solve every problem facing the people of Colorado, sometimes the best way is to bring people together to tackle the issues of the day. At El Pomar, we’ve created a series of community engagement programs because we believe that a well-informed and connected community lifts us all up. Our community engagement programming convenes Coloradans to learn, connect, and tackle each community’s challenges head on.
Regional Partnerships
We know that in order to lift our whole state up, we need to support grant making beyond the front range. We created the Regional Partnerships program in 2003 to engage local leaders in rural parts of Colorado in our grant making process.
Forum for Civic Advancement
As community leaders in the Pikes Peak region, we know it’s important to support the civic health of our community through conversation and debate. The Forum for Civic Advancement brings in outstanding speakers from across our state and country to provide insights on public policy issues and help advance our civic conversation.
Pikes Peak Heritage Series
In Colorado Springs, we all get to admire the beauty of Pikes Peak each day, but there’s much more of our environment to celebrate. The Pikes Peak Heritage Series hosts events to tell the stories of the natural environment around our community and to provide opportunities for collaboration among stakeholders.
