In 2006, as a core initiative of the Elevating Leadership Development program, El Pomar established the Milton E. Proby Cultural Heritage Room at Penrose House. Reverend Proby was one of the first profoundly influential civil rights leaders in the campaign for equality in southern Colorado. This room is dedicated to preserving and documenting the contributions of leaders of color from southern Colorado. You can learn more about the leaders inducted to the room by clicking here.
