How does ELD support nonprofits?
ELD provides a pipeline of diverse, trained board members for nonprofit organizations through ELD’s Online Civic Engagement Profiles. The ELD program connects to more than 2,000 ELD members and community partners who are committed to creating positive impact in the community. Diverse board members allow nonprofits to better represent the communities that they serve.
ELD Members pursue up to six leadership trainings and, once accepted to each, may apply for an El Pomar scholarship to cover the cost of attendance. Trainings provide well-rounded development of community leaders who are prepared to take action in the community, and in areas they have a passion for.
The ELD Program’s civic engagement profile database is a unique resource for nonprofit agencies seeking diverse leaders with expertise that will elevate their Board’s effectiveness and advance their mission.
