Catering Needs
- Any catering that requires onsite warming must be arranged through one of our authorized caterers.
- You may use third party delivery services such as Door Dash or Grub Hub. Our staff will ensure any food deliveries make it to the appropriate place.
- Groups may bring snack items as long as:
- They are store bought (nothing homemade)
- They do not require heating or refrigeration
- Your group brings any/all plates and utensils required
We encourage guests to use our in-house computers and to come prepared with your meeting materials on a flash drive or emailed to yourself ahead of time.
You may also bring your own laptop and connect via HDMI if preferred.
We have planning materials on-site including notepads and pens, power strip(s), dry erase white boards, and lectern (except in our larger board rooms).
All of our rooms are equipped with a webcam to accommodate web-conference meetings. You will need your own account (Zoom, Teams, WebX) and need to schedule your own virtual meeting in advance.
Say hello to Meg Shaver.
She knows everything.
Well, at least everything about creating the perfect meeting or event at Penrose House. Give her a call and she can help you work out all the details and make some great suggestions along the way.
Common questions
From AV needs to accessibility, we want to make sure you have everything you need to have a great meeting.
We’re here to help! Our conference support staff are happy to assist if you need a hand using our technology or plugging in your personal device into our displays.
Everything you see here is included in your meeting reservation. There is no up-charge for any of our amenities.
Penrose House has ample parking on our grounds. Simply pull into the property and follow the signs to Guest Parking.
You only need to select from the Authorized Caterers List if you are planning a meal that requires a heating device (sternos, electric warmers). If your meal is simply being delivered then you can select any commercial food provider that you like.
You are welcome to bring your own laptop. We typically recommend using our in-house computers for ease of setup, but understand that you may have sensitive meeting materials or just prefer using a device that you are familiar with.
All of our TVs are equipped with a spare HDMI cable you can use to connect your device to our displays. Not sure what an HDMI cable is or what it looks like? Check here!
Our PCs all have Windows 10 and the following programs pre-installed:
- Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Microsoft Teams
- Zoom
- Google Chrome & Firefox
Guests are welcome to take pictures for their own personal use. No professional photography is allowed onsite however.
Unfortunately, no. In order for our staff to provide our guests with the best possible service, the times before and after our posted hours are critical in allowing us time to set up and clean up every day.
A deeper dive into A/V connections
- Typically, the most seamless setup is to use the computers already connected in each of our meeting spaces. If you have a presentation or other virtual materials, consider bringing them on a USB flash drive or emailing the materials to yourself ahead of time to access them on our computer.
- Personal laptops can be connected to the televisions in our meeting rooms via an HDMI connection. If your device does not have an HDMI Port built in, we recommend you bring an HDMI adapter or dongle that can connect directly to your device. We have a variety of adapters available should you need one, but we cannot guarantee they will be compatible with your device.
- All of our meeting rooms are equipped with a high-quality camera and microphone that can be used for virtual meetings. If you plan on having a video call at Penrose House, please know that you must use your own Zoom/Teams/WebX account and schedule your own virtual meeting.
- The password for our Wi-Fi is posted in every meeting room. You may also request this information from any of our staff.
- Should you need any assistance with our A/V equipment, please don’t hesitate to ask a Penrose House staff member for assistance!
